The last day of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games has been concluded.
Idman.biz reports that 329 sets of medals found their owners in 16 days at the Olympics.
Azerbaijan finished the Games at the 30th place with 2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals. In Paris 2024, judokas Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelym Kotsoiev (100 kg) clinched gold, taekwondo player Gashim Magomedov (58 kg) and boxer Loren Alfonso Dominguez (92 kg) won silver, Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg), freestyle wrestlers Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg) and Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) won bronze medals.
Athletes from 91 countries were on the podium at the Olympic Games. 63 of them got the highest grade medal. USA led the table with 126 medals. Americans won 40 gold, 44 silver and 42 bronze. Although China has 40 golds, they are behind the leader in terms of total number. Australia placed third.
