They took the 30th place in the overall medal ranking. This is their new record in the history of the Olympics.
Until then, the best result was the 32nd place in London 2012. In Sydney 2000, the 34th place was achieved.
Azerbaijan's debut at the Olympics took place in Atlanta 1996.
