The 2024 International Mingachevir Regatta for rowing, kayaking, and canoeing has come to an end.
According to Idman.biz, Azerbaijani athletes wrapped up the 3-day event with an impressive 24 medals.
On the final day alone, they secured 13 of these medals. In the competition for athletes born in 2008-2009, the duo of Azer İlyasov and Tunar Mammadzada claimed gold in the 1500-meter academic rowing event.
Amil Ramazanov (2006-2007) took second place in the 1000-meter kayak race. In the same age group (2008-2009), the duo of Niyaz Məlikov and Emil Zeynalov earned silver in kayaking, while Qiyas Ahmədov and Subhan Hasanov won bronze.
In academic rowing (2006-2007), the pairs of Nurlan Pashayev - Cahangir Məmmədli, Sabit Abdullayev - Fikrət Hasanov, and Mahammad Niftullayev - Neymət Hasanov secured the top three positions.
In the 200-meter kayaking event (2008-2009), the pair of Qiyas Ahmadov - Subhan Həsənov claimed gold, while Ivan Vorobianski - Huseyn Hasanov and Vacib Babayev - Shahin İsayev won silver.
In the 1000-meter rowing race (2010-2011), the duo of Məhəmməd Hasanov - Raul Shamilov finished second, with Yusif Aliyev - Ruslan Faracov coming in third.
Finally, in the 2010-2011 kayaking competition, İbrahim Mammadzada - Elmir Tarverdiyev placed third.
The closing ceremony of the tournament is set to take place later today.
