The ISSF Junior World Championship held in Lima, the capital of Peru, has ended.
Idman.biz reports that 38 medal winners were found in the competition.
Azerbaijan was also represented in the championship, where 566 shooters from 51 countries participated. Athletes from 22 participating countries were among the prize winners.
Azerbaijan finished the world championship with 3 medals. Imran Garayev won the gold in the boys' competition in the 50-meter shooting, and Sofiya Barkhalova won the bronze in the girls' competition. The Azerbaijan national team, consisting of Zeynab Sultanova, Leyli Aliyeva and Sofiya Barkhalova, won silver in the team competition in 10 m air pistol shooting.
The Azerbaijani national team took the 12th place in the medal standings of the championship. In total, 15 countries won gold medals.
India, having won 13 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze medals, won the World Cup.
