Bronze medal on day one

The European Junior Taekwondo Championships kicked off on November 7 in Tirana, Albania.

According to Idman.biz, the first day of the competition brought success for Azerbaijan’s team. Competing in the 61 kg weight category, Farid Alizada claimed a bronze medal. On his path to the podium, Farid defeated opponents from Italy, Cyprus, and Ukraine before falling to Turkiye's Yigit Marakli in the semifinals.

The championship is set to conclude on November 9.
