Azerbaijan has secured another bronze medal at the European Junior Taekwondo Championship.
According to Idman.biz, Azerbaijani athlete Gulay Aliyeva claimed her spot on the podium in Tirana, Albania. Competing in the 44 kg weight category, Aliyeva defeated opponents from Turkiye, Montenegro, and Greece before losing to Poland’s Gabriela Wrzesz in the semifinal, earning the bronze.
Notably, on the first day of the championship, Azerbaijani taekwondo athlete Farid Alizade (61 kg) also won a bronze medal.
