Azerbaijan's national team of men's volleyball players will continue its preparations for the qualifying round of the European Championship in Georgia.
Farid Jalalov, the head coach of the national team, told Idman.biz.
According to him, the team has already concluded physical training exercises: "On August 4, we will go to Georgia, where we will hold test matches. We want to see the state of our team in 2-3 matches with the local team. Since the team is dominated by young people, we are trying to strengthen the defense and serves. We suffered a lot from them in the last games. Games with Austria and Belgium await us in the framework of the European Championship. Our goal is to show a better result."
Jalalov said that he did not invite a new volleyball player to the team: "Because we have little time. Our volleyball players with chronic injuries are receiving treatment. They are under medical supervision. We hope this does not negatively affect their game. I believe that we will show better results in our next matches."
Azerbaijan was placed in Group B with Austria and Belgium in the European Championship. The games in the competition will start on August 17.
