The Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF) has organized a seminar for referees participating in competitions scheduled for the 2024-2025 season.
According to Idman.biz, the seminar took place at the Volleyball Center of the Azerbaijan National Gymnastics Federation, attracting nearly 40 referees from the capital and various regions.
Led by Eldar Zulfugarov, the chairman of the AVF Referees Commission, and his deputy, Zaur Hajiyev, also an international referee, the seminar covered essential topics. Participants were briefed on upcoming competitions, new regulations in volleyball, and the challenge system, with opportunities to address their queries.
At the conclusion of the seminar, referees took part in a testing examination. The Commission will appoint referees for upcoming competitions based on their test results. All officials for competitions held in the country will be designated by the AVF Referees Commission.
The AVF conducts annual seminars to enhance referees' knowledge and skills. More such seminars are planned for the near future.
