The Brazilian women's volleyball championship has kicked off, and Polina Rahimova, a player from the Azerbaijan national team, is making headlines.
According to Idman.biz, her team Osasco will start their season with an away match against Maringá, a team that finished 9th last season.
Ahead of the match, a promotional poster featuring Polina has been released, highlighting her role in the team. Osasco, one of the league's favorites, reached the semifinals last season and has already started this season strong by winning the Paulista Championship.
This is Polina’s second stint in the Brazilian league, having previously played for Sesi Vôlei.
