The representatives of the Azerbaijan national team for the European Weightlifting Championship has been announced.
Idman.biz reports that the national team will participate in the competition with 9 athletes.
In the championship to be held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, the coaching staff will will give a chance to Nazila Ismayilova (45 kg), Isa Rustamov, Tehran Mammadov (both 67 kg), Omar Javadov (73 kg), Ravin Almammadov, Fugan Aliyev (both 81 kg), Nurlan Mammadzada (89 kg), Ali Shukurlu (102 kg) and Dadash Dadashbeyli (109 kg).
It should be noted that the continental championship will be held on February 12-20. 402 athletes (202 men + 200 women) from 43 countries are expected to participate in the competition.
