According to the Winter Sports Federation's application to the International Ski Federation (FIS) in April 2023, the homologation procedure (passing inspection) of the slopes at the Shahdag Tourism Centre is complete.
As a result of the procedures carried out by the experts appointed by the FIS, the federation presented a certificate of homologation (passing inspection) to the Shahdag Tourism Center, Idman.biz reports.
According to the certificate, Shahdag Tourism Center was given the right to hold international competitions in slalom, giant slalom and super G type of Mountain Skiing.
At the same time, Shahdag Tourism Center has created an opportunity to be added to the competition calendar of the International Ski Federation for holding international competitions.
It should be noted that homologation is considered an important aspect of the development of venues where ski and snowboard athletes can perform at the highest levels. Homologation of all slopes on which FIS competitions are held is considered an important factor.
