For the first time in its history, Real Madrid won the Super Cup match against Atletico.
Idman.biz reports that the club won the semi-final of the tournament organized in Saudi Arabia with a score of 5:3.
Prior to this overtime victory, the teams had met three times in the Super Bowl. With two draws and one loss in Madrid derbies, Real broke the syndrome from the 4th attempt.
Carlo Ancelotti's team also scored the first in the last 61 years. Real won against Atletico in the match where they conceded three goals for the first time this season.
The last such incident happened in March 1963. Real was happy with the 4:3 victory in the LaLiga game.
It should be noted that Barcelona will face Osasuna in the other pair of the Super Cup semifinals.
