The 2004 Ballon d'Or winner became the head of Ukrainian football

Delegates to the extraordinary congress of the Ukrainian Association of Football have elected a new president

Idman.biz reports that Ukrainian football legend Andriy Shevchenko was chosen for this position.

As a player, aside from Milan, he played for Chelsea and Dynamo Kyiv.

He was the only candidate in the elections of the Extraordinary Congress of the organization. The 47-year-old functionary collected 93 votes.
Only one person abstained. It was the Milan legend Shevchenko.

He took the vacant post of the president of the association. The previous head of the institution, Andriy Pavelko, is currently in custody due to corruption suspicions.

It should be noted that the Ukrainian legend coached his country's national team in 2016-21 and Genoa in 2021-22.
