Khasay Hasanli (77 kg), the Azerbaijan Greco-Roman wrestling champion, told Idman.biz.
The student of the Lankaran wrestling school won all matches ahead of time. He said that this is not the peak of his form yet: "My opponents were very strong. I would mention the experienced Azad Aliyev and the young talent Davud Mammadov. I would appreciate my speech. But I have to increase it a bit. My physical strength is not quite what I would like. If I overcome this, I believe that I will be successful in the international arena as well."
The 21-year-old wrestler also announced his future goals: "I want to perform successfully at the U-23 European Championship, which will be held in our country next year. I want to win a gold medal and wave our flag. Sanan Suleymanov, who qualified for the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games, is the leader in weight among adults. He is a real example for us. In the future, I will thoroughly replace him."
It should be noted that Davud Mammadov won the silver medal in 77 kg, and Azad Aliyev and Alim Balashli won the bronze medals.
