Three Greco-Roman wrestlers of Azerbaijan reached the semi-finals of the licensed world championship held in Belgrade.
İdman.biz informs that Sanan Suleymanov (77 kg), who competes in the Olympic weight category up to 77 kg, won three victories over Johnny Sarkinen (Finland), Kamal Amir (USA) and Demeu Jadrayev (Kazakhstan).
In the non-Olympic categories, two-time world champion Eldeniz Azizli (55 kg) defeated Taiga Anishi from Japan and Marlan Mukashev from Kazakhstan and advanced to the semi-finals.
Former world champion, Olympic bronze medalist Rafig Huseynov (82 kg) advanced to the same stage. Starting from the second round, he defeated Eric Szilvas (Hungary), then Aues Gonibov (Neutral status) in the 1/8 finals.
It should be noted that five licenses to Paris are played in each Olympic weight class.
