The U-17 European Championship in wrestling, held in Novi Sad, Serbia, has come to the end.
As per Idman.biz, Azerbaijan's freestyle wrestling team, which won 2 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals at the continental championship, won 160 points and became the team champion.
Azerbaijan is 36 points ahead of second-tier Armenia. Turkiye (119) took the third place.
Under the leadership of senior coach Asgarkhan Novruzov, coaches Vahid Mammadov and Rovshan Hajiyev, Muhammed Ismayilov (51 kg) and Isa Yusibov (65 kg) won gold, Huseyin Ismayilov (60 kg) and Mukhamad Gantemirov (110 kg) won silver, Hajihuseyn Ahmadzade (48 kg) ) and Huseyn Huseynov (55 kg) won a bronze medal.
