World Champion passes away at 27

Nugzari Tsurtsumia (55 kg), the world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, died.

Idman.biz reports that The Georgian Wrestling Federation confirmed on Wednesday.

It was reported that the cause of death of the 2019 World Champion is unknown. Georgian news outlet Ajara TV reported that Tsurtsumia was found dead in his house in Khobi.

Tsurtsumia won a technical victory over Marat Garipov (BRA) in a four-man round-robin 55 kg bracket. However, he lost to Eldaniz Azizli (AZE), the three-time World champion, and Poya Dad Marz (IRI), the bronze medallist from the 23 World Championship.
