Ibrahim becomes three-time world champion, Ramiz secures bronze

The season has concluded for beach wrestling in Poreč, Croatia.

According to Idman.biz, Azerbaijan was represented in the final stage of the World Series by Ramiz Hasanov (80 kg) and Ibrahim Yusubov (90 kg).

Ramiz Hasanov competed in Group A, where he achieved victories over France's Hugo Cuenot (2:0), Georgia's Ramaz Zoidze (4:0), and Serbia's Milyan Rajić (3:0), finishing as the group leader and advancing to the semifinals. In the semifinals, he defeated Cristoforidis Cristos (2:0). However, in the final, he lost to Moldova's Vasile Diacon (0:2), ending the final stage with a silver medal.

Ibrahim Yusubov also competed in Group A and finished this stage with maximum results. The experienced wrestler triumphed over Moldova's Traian Capatina (3:0), Ukraine's Nazar Dod (3:0), and Hungary's Patrik Puespoeki (3:0). In the semifinals, he narrowly defeated Ukraine's Oleksii Yakovchuk (3:2) and faced Capatina again in the final. This time, Ibrahim won (3:1) and secured the gold medal.

After the competition, points from all stages of the World Series were totaled to determine the world champions. Based on the final results, Ramiz was named the world runner-up, while Ibrahim defended his title and became a three-time world champion.
