A new record has been shattered in Azerbaijan’s wrestling history.
Idman.biz reports that Greco-Roman wrestler Eldaniz Azizli has reached an unprecedented milestone. The three-time world champion secured yet another victory at the World Championships for non-Olympic weight categories, held in Tirana, Albania. Competing in the 55 kg category, Azizli defeated all his opponents to win his fourth gold medal.
The record-breaker previously claimed world championship titles in 2018, 2022, and 2023.
