As the World Wrestling Championship for non-Olympic weight classes concludes today in Tirana, Albania, three Azerbaijani wrestlers still have a chance to secure bronze medals in the consolation rounds.
According to Idman.biz, Azerbaijani athletes will compete as follows:
61 kg
Nuraddin Novruzov will face Peter Hammer from Costa Rica.
79 kg
Orkhan Abasov will take on Suldkhuu Olonbayar from Mongolia.
92 kg
Abubakr Abakarov will go up against David Taylor from the United States.
The championship has already seen notable success for Azerbaijan’s Greco-Roman wrestlers, with Eldaniz Azizli (55 kg), Nihat Məmmədli (63 kg), and Ulvu Ganizade (72 kg) winning gold medals.
